The WCB Occupational Injury Service (OIS) program is an employment injury assessment program where the goal is early, safe, sustainable return to work that is achieved by getting the right care at the right time with the right result; and by fostering communication between employees, employers, the medical team and the WCB to facilitate a safe return to work.
The OIS program provides an opportunity for injured workers to gain access to medical assessment and care quickly with a focus on a modified return to work program where appropriate.
Medicentres Canada is the largest OIS provider in the Edmonton area with 8 clinics available for employers and injured workers.

Employers that are interested in the OIS program must be committed to a modified work program in their workplace. A formal sign-up must be completed and sent to the OIS business assistant at the WCB.
