Offering easy access with decreased waiting times, Medicentre’s Fastrack Program is designed to manage certain medical conditions. This care management program operates under the direction of a physician and can be accessed through an appointment or on a walk-in basis. Fastrack operates in all Edmonton and Calgary Medicentre locations during weekday hours. Please refer to your closest clinic location for Fastrack specific information.
The Fastrack program now manages the
following medical conditions:
- Bladder and urinary tract infections
- Contraceptive advice and refills
- Dressing changes
- Travel advice and immunizations
- Ear pain
- Eye pain
- High blood pressure
- Injections and allergy shots
- Prescription refills
- Lice
- Non-genital wart treatments
Minor Injuries Including:
- Fractures of hands, wrists and forearms
- Fractures of the foot and ankle
- Strains and sprains
- Cuts and bruises
- Cast removal
- Stitch removal
Some important tips if you plan to use the Fastrack program:
- Appointments will be provided on the same day whenever available. Otherwise the next available appointment will be offered. Please phone or visit the clinic to make an appointment.
- You must bring your Alberta Health Care card with you to every visit.
- Please bring your medications with you to your visit for a prescription refill. Make sure you know what non-prescription medications you are taking – such as supplements, herbal remedies, vitamins, etc.
